As a clinical specialist in LGBTQ+ issues, gender-affirming care, trauma, and sex therapy, my work centers on empowering marginalized and underserved populations. As a research scholar, my passion lies in exploring how systemic change can be achieved within clinical training programs, specifically in the areas of multiculturalism and social justice. A commitment to social justice and activism drives my research interests. I believe that by challenging accreditation bodies and regulatory boards to prioritize multiculturalism and social justice issues in national testing and accreditation, we can create more equitable outcomes for marginalized and underserved populations. To this end, I am currently focused on developing outcome models that support this goal and can be used to measure the effectiveness of multicultural training and research programs.

My next objective is to expand my research to include best practices in sex and sexuality therapy for the LGBTQ+ community. I believe that by using a theoretical framework that combines critical race theory (CRT), feminist theory, and queer theory, we can create a more comprehensive and effective approach to sex therapy that is truly inclusive and equitable. Overall, my research is grounded in a commitment to social justice and equity and driven by a desire to effect positive change in the field of clinical training and research.
